Lipper has divided its fund categories into Equity Indexes (stocks) and Fixed-Income Indexes (bonds). Indexes are a composite of funds in the same category. The Equity Indexes category lists the different types of stock indexes. When comparing your fund to an index, use the one that best represents the objective of your fund. You can find that index in a fund’s annual report.
