Where can I get help with selecting an investment mix?

Take a look at Develop an investment strategy, located in the drop-down menu under the Retirement Planning section at the top of each page. You’ll find insightful articles and our sample asset allocation models that may help you find an investment mix that makes sense for you.

What happens to my retirement savings when I leave my employer?

You have a number of options to consider. The Rollover section can help you sort out your choices so you can make an informed decision.

I can’t locate a particular form. What should I do?

Contact your employer for distribution kits and other forms.

Technical information

I’m having trouble viewing a page. What should I do?

How do I increase the font size?

If you want to enlarge the text size on your computer’s Internet browser, follow these instructions:

Internet Explorer 7.0 and above (Windows®)

  1. Go to the Page menu on the toolbar and select Text Size.
  2. Select Larger or Largest, depending on how much you want to increase the size.

Firefox 3.0 and above (Windows, Macintosh® and Linux®)

  1. Go to the View menu and select Zoom.
  2. Select Zoom In.

Safari 4.0 and above (Macintosh)

  1. Go to the View menu and select Zoom In.

Google Chrome™ (Windows, Macintosh and Linux)

  1. Click the wrench icon on the toolbar. (Mac users can click the View menu if the wrench icon isn’t visible.)
  2. Click the plus sign.

Do I need to enable cookies to use this site?

Are there any special computer hardware requirements for using this site?

Do I need to enable JavaScriptTM to use this site?

Our site will perform best if JavaScript is enabled on your browser. Browsers that support JavaScript allow you to take advantage of drop-down menus for easy site navigation and other features. If you have problems viewing the drop-down menus, you either have JavaScript turned off or your browser doesn’t support JavaScript.

If you use one of these browsers but still cannot see JavaScript features, JavaScript may be turned off. To turn on JavaScript, follow the instructions below.

Internet Explorer 7.0 and above (Windows)

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click on Custom Level in Security level for this zone.
  4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list.
  5. Under Active Scripting, choose Enable.
  6. Click on OK to leave Security Settings.
  7. Click on OK to leave Internet Options.

Firefox 3.0 and above (Windows, Macintosh and Linux)

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Click on the Content icon at the top.
  3. Click on the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click on OK to close the “Options” window.

Safari 4.0 and above (Macintosh)

  1. Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Security icon at the top.
  3. Click on the boxes next to Enable plug-ins, Enable Java and Enable JavaScript.
  4. Close the window.

Chrome™ (Windows, Macintosh and Linux)

  1. Click on the wrench icon in the toolbar. (Mac users can click on the View menu if the wrench icon isn’t visible.)
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click on Content settings in the Privacy section.
  4. Click on the JavaScript tab and select the radio button next to Allow all sites to run JavaScript.
  5. Click on the Close button to close the Content settings window.
  6. Click on the Close button to close the “Options” window.

Do I need Adobe® Reader®, Flash or RealPlayer to use this site?

For the best experience you will need these products, but they aren’t required for viewing the site. Links for RealPlayer and Adobe Reader appear when needed, and the site can detect when you need Flash to see something. If you don’t have Flash, you’re given the option and the link to download it — but only the first time the site detects a problem. If you’re accessing the site from your workplace, you may have to contact your network administrator in order to download the software.
